The Thai foreign ministry issued a statement, saying it follows the developments in Gaza with serious concern.

“We deeply regret the growing violence and the killing of civilians,” the statement said.

“We call on all sides to avoid more violence and make efforts for the resolution of the conflict through dialogue and negotiations. We also urge the international community for efforts to end this violence and establish peace in the region.”

The statement called on all sides to be committed to the process of peace and try to achieve a sustainable and just peace that ensures the interests of all sides.

The Thai foreign ministry went on to stress that the country will continue providing humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.

Israel has waged a deadly military offensive on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, killing more than 30,700 Palestinians and injuring over 72,000 others amid mass destruction and shortages of necessities.

Israel has also imposed a crippling blockade on the Gaza Strip, leaving its population, particularly residents of northern Gaza, on the verge of starvation.

The Israeli war has pushed 85% of Gaza’s population into internal displacement amid acute shortages of food, clean water, and medicine, while 60% of the enclave's infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed, according to the UN.

Israel stands accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice. An interim ruling in January ordered Tel Aviv to stop genocidal acts and take measures to guarantee that humanitarian assistance is provided to civilians in Gaza.
