Thailand Health Ministry Organizes ‘Hajj and Health’ Seminar

IQNA – A seminar on “Hajj pilgrimage and health” was held in Thailand to discuss health preparations for the upcoming Hajj season.

The health ministry organized the seminar in cooperation with the Central Islamic Council of Thailand.

The participants discussed the measures taken by the ministry to ensure a safe and healthy trip for Thai pilgrims.

It was also attended by the Hajj affairs representative in the Saudi embassy in Bangkok.  

Thailand has an annual quota of 13,000 Hajj pilgrims and this year, nearly 8,000 Thai Muslims have registered to take the spiritual journey.

They are planned to leave for Saudi Arabia from June 14 to 19.

Thailand is a country at the center of the Indochinese peninsula in Southeast Asia.
