Events Planned for Contenders on Sidelines of Iran’s Int’l Quran Contest

IQNA – A number of programs have been planned on sidelines of the 40th edition of Iran’s International Holy Quran Competition.

Contenders in Iran's 40th International Quran Competition

 

They are held for the contenders and members of panel of judges.

Tehran is hosting Iran’s 40th International Holy Quran Competition with the participation of 99 memorizers and reciters from 44 countries.

Simultaneously, the 8th edition of the International Quran Competition for School Students is underway in the Iranian capital.

The contestants in both Quranic events and the members of the panels of arbiters paid a visit to the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini (RA), the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, in Rey, south of Tehran, on Friday.

As another sideline program, they will visit the Sacred Defense Museum Garden on Saturday and the Jamaran Husseiniyah on Sunday.

On Monday, they are scheduled to visit the Milad Tower, the tallest tower in Iran.

The International Quran Competition of the Islamic Republic of Iran is an annual event that attracts Quran reciters and memorizers from different parts of the world.

It aims to promote the Quranic culture and values, as well as to foster friendship and cooperation among Muslim countries.
