The Quran recitation circles, organized for ten days, are called the “Ashrat al-Fajr al-Quraniya (Ten Quranic Dawns)”.
They have been held every year since the 2020 martyrdom of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Quds Force Commander Lt. General Qassem Soleimani and Deputy Head of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.
The Quranic-cultural programs are aimed at commemorating the resistance commanders and enhance the unity and bond between the Iranian and Iraqi nations.
A total of 131 qaris, including those from Iran, recite the Quran at 125 Quranic circles in different cities in 14 governorates of Iraq, including Basra, Najaf, Dhi Qar, Kirkuk, Baghdad, Babil and Diyala.
