TEHRAN (IQNA) – We may see people who commit all kinds of injustice, but live in wealth and joy! If hardships are the result of our bad deeds, then why does the one who does worse than us not suffer from same troubles and live in luxury and ease?!

The Happy Tyrants!

People are not equal in God's eyes and they have different statuses:

God punishes some people right away. He gives some people some time. He gives others a respite until the end of their lives and lets them enjoy prosperity, and they will be punished on the Day of Judgment, because in our worldview, we do not look at the world without considering the Day of Judgment.

Sometimes a teacher reacts strongly to the wrongdoing of a talented student, because he does not expect such a thing from him, while he does not deal with ordinary and bad students with such harshness.

According to the Quran, God sometimes harshly rebukes saints and prophets for an act that is not even a sin because such a thing is not expected from those noble ones. In some cases of people who are sinners, God gives them a chance: “and We have appointed a time for their destruction.” (Surah Al-Kahf, verse 59)

The Quran says about being impatient to ask for the punishment of the unbelievers: “They ask you to hasten the punishment. Allah will not break His promise.” (Surah Al-Hajj, verse 47).

Therefore, God sometimes does not show an immediate reaction to the tyrants and says: “I gave a respite to the unbelievers (so that they would repent, but they did not). Then I struck them with a terrible retribution.” (Surah Ar-Ra'd, verse 32)

And he also explains the reason for the respite: “The unbelievers must not think that Our respite is for their good. We only give them time to let them increase their sins. For them there will be a humiliating torment.” (Surah Al-Imran, verse 178)

Temporary prosperity is the best way of punishment, because the Quran says: “And when they had forgotten that with which they have been admonished, We opened the gates of everything to them, until just as they were rejoicing in what they were given, We suddenly seized them and they were in utter despair.” (Surah Al-An'am, verse 44).

An example of such people is like someone who thinks that the higher he climbs a tree, the more successful he is, but when he falls, it becomes clear that all those climbs were a prelude to his torment.

Of course, God Almighty does not eliminate the hope of those who are ready to change path: “God will cause some people to suffer so that perhaps they will return to Him.” (Surah Ar-Rum, verse 41)

Many teachings warn us that if you keep doing sins but you don't see any signs of God's wrath in your life, be afraid that you may have left the circle of punishment and the only way out is hell.
