Senior Qari’s Quranic Center Opens in Egypt

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Quranic center of Sheikh Mohamed Saleh Ahmed Hashad, a renowned qari, was launched in Egypt on Friday.

It has been established at Abul Abbas al-Mursi Mosque by the country’s Awqaf ministry, el-Balad News reported.

It is one of several Quranic centers for prominent qaris launched by the ministry this weeks.

The others, inaugurated on Wednesday, were for Sheikh Ahmed Ahmed Nuaina in Imam Hussein (AS) Mosque, Sheikh Taha Numani in Amr Aas Mosque, and Sheikh Tamim al-Maraqi in Al-Hamd Mosque.

Quranic sessions at the Sheikh Nuaina Center have already started. They are held every week on Monday and Wednesday after noon prayers.

Speaking at the Friday ceremony, Sheikh Hashad, who heads the Association of Egyptians Qaris, hailed the Awqaf ministry for its efforts to serve the Quran and promote recitation and memorization of the Quran.

He noted that the ministry has organized Quran recitation sessions for different groups of people and launched centers for teaching Quran memorization and recitation.
