TEHRAN (IQNA) – Family is one of the most important units of society. The health of the family has a direct relation with the health of society. This is why societies try to promote the position of family and women who have a key role in that.

Attaching importance to modesty, a Muslim woman chooses appropriate clothes. According to narrations, Hazrat Zahra (SA) had been wearing a khimar (long head covering) and a jilbab (long and loose garment) when going outside. This means that hijab was always an important basis for her.

Before addressing a group of people which included men, Hazrat Zahra would order to raise a curtain between her and the men.

Complying with Sharia laws in every circumstance is among the lessons that one can draw from her life.

Another lesson is to realize the important position of family and remain honest with family members. On the last days of her life, Hazrat Zahra told Imam Ali (AS) that since their marriage, she did not lie to him or oppose him even once. Imam Ali (AS) confirmed this.

The role of Hazrat Zahra (AS) as a spouse and mother is among the fields that Muslim women can refer to as role model. Hazrat Zahra was the kind of spouse for Imam Ali as was described in the Quran: “His creating spouses for you out of yourselves so that you might take comfort in them and His creating love and mercy among you. In this there is evidence (of the truth) for the people who (carefully) think.” (Surah Ar-Rum, verse 21)

The love between Hazrat Zahra and Imam Ali was divine. Each of them saw the other side as a divine gift and mercy.
