In a message to influential Muslim scholars and personalities on Saturday, Hojat-ol-Islam Hamid Shahriari hoped that peace, calm, health and prosperity will prevail in the Muslim world, especially in Palestine, with the blessing of the holy month.
He also hoped that Muslims can soon say prayers of unity at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem al-Quds.
Hojat-ol-Islam Shahriari further highlighted the importance of Islamic teachings about issues like helping one another, unity, sympathy and fraternity under the current conditions in the world.
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar in which Muslim all around the world fast from dawn to sunset.
