Kuwait’s Awqaf Ministry Holds Quranic Family Competition
The contest has been organized by the Awqaf and Islamic affairs ministry’s mosques department with the motto of “Quran Brings Us Together”, Al-Ray daily reported.
A total of 143 families from across the Arab country are participating in the competition, which features recitation and memorization of the Quran among family members.
Three members of each family are taking part in the Quranic event, including at least one of the parents.
According to Yusuf al-Sameiei, an official with the organizing committee, the competition is aimed at promoting the love for the Holy Book among families.

He said most of children’s time today is spent in social media and it is the love for the Quran that gathers members of family.
The contest is being held in the holy month of Ramadan to bring Kuwaiti families together, he added.
