On this auspicious occasion, IQNA asked some members of panel of judges and contenders in the international Quranic event to recite two verses of the Quran that are about the advent of the Savior at the end of time:

Verse 5 of Surah Al-Qasas: “And We desired to bestow a favor upon those who were deemed oppressed in the land, and to make them the Imams, and to make them the heirs.”

The Commander of the Faithful (AS) said in interpretation of this verse: “The world will bend towards us after having been refractory as the biting she-camel bends towards its young.”

He then recited Verse 5 of Surah Al-Qasas.

According to Ibn Abi al-Hadid, religious scholars believe that this statement of Imam Ali (AS) shows a great Imam and leader will come who will rule the earth and all of countries and lands will fall under his power.

It has also been narrated that Imam Ali (AS) said that the Household of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) were the ones that the Quran says will be made Imams and heirs.

Verse 105 of Surah Al-Anbiya: “We have written in the Psalms which We had revealed after the Torah that the earth will be given to Our righteous servants as their inheritance.”

Imam Baqir (AS) said in interpretation of this verse that the righteous servants of God mentioned in this verse are Imam Mahdi (AS) and his companions at the end of time.
