Qatar’s Quran Radio Airs Program on Philosophy of “Waqf”
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The philosophy of Waqf (endowment) in Islam was discussed in a program aired by the Quran radio channel of Qatar.
According to Al-Sharq newspaper, "Dhakhkhir” (save for the Hereafter) was the title of the program, which aimed to disseminate the culture of charity and endowment in society.
The Qatar’s General Office of Endowments cooperated in producing the radio program, which was first aired on March 5.
The importance of Waqf in Islam, the history of Waqf, Waqf in the life of the pious predecessors, and Waqf in the Islamic civilization are discussed by Muslim scholars in the program.
The scholars also encourage the listeners to get involved and cooperate in charity projects.
The 20-minute program will be broadcast the first Sunday of each month at 8 p.m. local time.
