Iranian, Iraqi Qaris Attend Quranic Circle in Tehran

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A delegation of Quran reciters, memorizers and activists from the Iraqi city of Kirkuk visited the Supreme Quran Council here in the Iranian capital on Monday.

Iranian, Iraqi Qaris Attend Quranic Circle in Tehran

 

They delegation has traveled to Iran to learn about the activities of the country’s Quranic institutions.

During the visit to the Supreme Quran Council, members of the delegation attended a joint Quranic circle with a number of Iranian qaris.

Iraqis Muhammad Abdul Karim Muhammad and Muhammad Mahdi Alaeddin Saqi and Iranians Mehdi Gholamnejad, Ali Qassemabadi, and Seyed Mohammad Hosseinipour recited verses from the Quran at the program.

An Iraqi Tawasheeh (religious singing) group also performed Tawasheeh songs.

Also during the visit, Mohammad Taqi Mirzajani, the executive deputy of the Supreme Quran Council, elaborated on the missions and activities of the council as well as the Committee for Inviting and Dispatching Qaris.

Members of the Iraqi delegation hailed the great potentials of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Quranic fields and hoped that ground will be prepared for Iraq’s Quranic community to benefit more from Iran’s experiences in the fields.
