20% Rise in Number of Qurans Printed in Iran

TEHRAN (IQNA) – There has been a rise in the number of Quran copies printed in Iran in the first three months of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21), an official said.

 

Meysam Moafi, the deputy of the Dar-ol-Quran Organization, said there has been a 20 percent increase this year compared to the same period last year.

He also told IQNA that 88 permissions for printing the Quran has been issued by the organization since March 21.

Sue to the coronavirus pandemic, the permissions will be valid for one year, instead of six months, he added.

The Dar-ol-Quran Karim Organization is affiliated to Iran’s Islamic Development Organization.

It oversees Quranic activities and grants permissions for publication of the Quran in the country.
