TEHRAN (IQNA) – The imam and preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque denounced the recent move by Zionist settlers to insult the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH).

In his Friday prayer sermons yesterday, Sheikh Akrama Sabri said the move was an affront to all Muslims across the world.

He also hailed the Palestinians living in Jerusalem al-Quds for safeguarding the sanctity of the city.

Far-right Israeli settlers marched through occupied Jerusalem al-Quds on Tuesday to commemorate the regime’s seizure and subsequent occupation of East Jerusalem al-Quds in 1967.

Palestinians view the so-called “march of the flags” as provocative as Israeli settlers display their dominance over the occupied region.

During the march, settlers insulted Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), sparking anger among Palestinians who staged a protest after Friday noon prayers at al-Aqsa Mosque compound.

On Friday, Israeli forces stormed al-Aqsa Mosque compound and attacked Palestinians who condemned settlers’ insults against the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
