Edmonton Islamic Center to Celebrate Nimeh Shaaban

TEHRAN (IQNA) – On the eve of Nimeh Sha’aban, the birthday of Imam Zaman (may God hasten his glad advent), a ceremony will be held at the Imam Hussein (AS) Islamic Center in Edmonton, Canada, on Saturday.

The celebration will start at 8 PM. After saying Maghrib and Isha prayers, the participants will listen to recitation of the Quran, and speeches.

There will also be eulogy recitations, Tawasheeh (religious singing) performances, and contests.

Nimeh Sha’aban, the 15^th day of the lunar Hijri month of Sha’aban, marks the birthday of Imam Zaman, the twelfth Imam of Shia Muslims.

This year, it falls on Sunday, April 21.

Shia Muslims all around the world celebrate the auspicious occasion.
